High Street Feasibility Study Kicks Off in the Village of Hanover
Neighborhood Strategies, together with our partners at American Structurepoint, has officially kicked off the feasibility study for High Street—the Village of Hanover’s primary corridor and a key connector for schools, businesses, and neighborhoods. With significant growth on the horizon for the area, Hanover is preparing now to ensure its infrastructure can support the next decade of change.
To launch the project, we invited community stakeholders to help shape the vision for the modernized corridor. At our recent interactive charrette, participants explored what High Street could look like in the years ahead using a hands-on “build-a-street” activity. They mixed and matched roadway features such as bike paths, crosswalks, turn lanes, sidewalks, planting medians, and roundabouts to imagine future options and share what matters most to them.
In the coming months, the project team will review current conditions, analyze needs, and begin developing early design concepts. The feedback we heard at the workshop will directly guide this work and help the team evaluate what’s most feasible for the community. This early phase will lay the groundwork for turning ideas into engineering and construction-ready plans.
We’re excited to partner with the Village of Hanover as it plans for growth and takes steps toward a modernized corridor that supports anticipated growth, improves mobility, and strengthens the Village center.
