Andrew Hanson

GIS Consultant

Andrew Hanson (he/him) brings a systems-minded perspective to Neighborhood Strategies, supporting community planning through GIS analysis, mapping, and data visualization. Naturally curious about why some places work better than others, he is especially interested in how mobility, land use, policy, and environmental systems shape everyday experiences of place. Andrew earned a B.A. in Sustainability & Environmental Studies from Denison University, where he carved out a niche at the intersection of geospatial analysis, environmental policy, and sustainable development. His experience includes transportation planning, renewable energy siting, land-use analysis, and translating complex spatial data into clear, useful visuals. Prior to Neighborhood Strategies, Andrew supported sustainable transportation consulting at CLEAResult and spent four years with Denison’s Office of Campus Sustainability
