Interns, Chloe Vu and Marshall Pifer, join the NS team from Denison University.

Neighborhood Strategies is thrilled to welcome our new interns, Chloe Vu and Marshall Pifer, to the team. Both students attend Denison University and are joining the firm through Denison’s Knowlton Center for Career Exploration.

Chloe joins the firm as a Data Analytics, Project Management, & Operations Intern. She is pursuing a B.A. in Data Analytics and Mathematics and brings a strong interest in data-driven decision-making, process improvement, and community-centered planning. During her internship, Chloe will support planning projects through data analysis while also contributing to internal operations, process automation, and project management.

Marshall joins the firm as a Finance, Project Management, & Economic Development Intern. A junior studying Finance, Marshall is interested in the relationship among financial decision-making, community planning, and economic development. He will support community and economic development projects while contributing to Neighborhood Strategies’ internal finance, project management, and operations.

“What I appreciate about our new interns is that they’re both interested in the work behind the work,” said Jim Lenner, Founding Principal. “They’re eager to understand how planning ideas take shape, but they also see the importance of data, coordination, financial thinking, and day-to-day systems that help projects move forward. I’m looking forward to seeing how Chloe and Marshall apply their unique strengths throughout their time with our firm.”

Stéphanie McManus, Managing Principal, added, “Denison has a well-earned national reputation for preparing exceptionally capable, thoughtful students. I’ve known members of Denison’s leadership for many years, and Neighborhood Strategies has had the opportunity to collaborate with Denison faculty on student projects. Chloe and Marshall reflect the professionalism, intelligence, and dedication we have come to associate with Denison students, and we’re excited to welcome them to our team.”

We look forward to working with Chloe and Marshall this fall and supporting their continued professional growth.
