Neighborhood Strategies Founder and Principal, Jim Lenner, was recently featured in The Newark Advocate for our firm’s work with community leaders in the Granville, Ohio area. Partnering with the Village of Granville, Granville Township, and the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce, Neighborhood Strategies helped develop an economic development strategy to guide the community’s growth amid the region’s rapid transformation following Intel’s investment in Licking County.

During an October presentation at the Granville Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Jim outlined key recommendations to strengthen Granville’s economy while preserving its small-town charm. The plan emphasized collaboration through the creation of a Community Improvement Corporation (CIC), the establishment of Community Reinvestment Areas (CRA) and Joint Economic Development Districts (JEDD), and continued investment in downtown and trail-oriented opportunities. By working together, Jim noted, Granville’s local leaders can position the community to benefit from regional growth while maintaining the values that make it special.
