NS Begins Updating Hanover’s Comprehensive Plan

Neighborhood Strategies is collaborating with the Village of Hanover, located in eastern Licking County, Ohio, to update its 2007 Comprehensive Plan. With a recent 38% population growth, according to the 2020 census, strong schools, available land, and nearby catalyst development projects, the Village is well-positioned for continued growth. To proactively guide this development, the Village selected our firm to design strategies that manage growth responsibly and sustainably while preserving Hanover’s rural character.

Informed by background analysis, forecasted trends, best practices, and community input, the updated plan will provide a strategic roadmap for Hanover’s future. It will guide development in a way that balances new opportunities with the Village’s small-town identity, helping prevent haphazard growth while supporting sustainability, connectivity, and a high quality of life for residents.
