Harrison Adopts New Comprehensive Plan
Harrison Township in Licking County, Ohio, unanimously voted to adopt its new Comprehensive Plan, developed by Neighborhood Strategies. With central Ohio experiencing rapid growth, the plan provides a clear framework to help Township leaders manage development pressures while preserving the community’s rural character.
The plan outlines strategies to guide housing and infrastructure toward areas with existing utilities, promote conservation design, and focus future development within identified corridors such as Broad Street and the Railroad Overlay. Developed during a time of significant regional change—including Intel’s $20 billion investment in nearby Monroe Township—the plan positions Harrison Township to thoughtfully guide growth and capitalize on new economic opportunities while preserving its rural heritage.
