ANTICIPATED ADOPTION PROCESS
Planning & Zoning Work Session #1: The initial work session centers around the thoughts and ideas of the Planning and Zoning Committee by conducting an interactive work session asking for areas of residential, commercial, mixed use and park development. In addition, the Committee and public is invited to participate in a real-time survey. COMPLETED NOVEMBER 2024
Planning & Zoning Work Session #2: The work session introduces the draft Growth Strategy. The P&Z committee discusses the strategy, identifies key focus areas, and sets the stage for further development. Public input is encouraged to gather initial feedback via online survey. COMPLETED JANUARY 22, 2025
P&Z Committee Recommendation: Following the second work session, the P&Z committee finalizes its recommendation for the Growth Strategy. This step ensures that the strategy reflects committee consensus and public feedback. COMPLETED FEBRUARY 19, 2025
Council Introduction: The draft Growth Strategy is formally introduced to the Village Council. At this stage, Council members review the P&Z committee's recommendation and may propose additional adjustments. The public has an opportunity to voice opinions during this phase. COMPLETED MARCH 25, 2025
Council Adoption: After reviewing all inputs and potential revisions, the Village Council formally adopts the Growth Strategy. This final step solidifies the strategy as a guiding document for the village’s growth and development. TBD
