Neighborhood Strategies is partnering with global engineering firm, Jacobs, to support an ODOT study focused on establishing a clear framework for improving north-south connections in southwest Licking County. The study aims to address anticipated growth driven by the Ohio One Intel mega site in New Albany, Ohio. Leveraging extensive local expertise and stakeholder engagement, our team is contributing insights on land use, infrastructure, and economic development to shape impactful, data-driven recommendations.

As a subconsultant to Jacobs, Neighborhood Strategies was selected for our expertise in community and stakeholder engagement, economic development strategy, and deep familiarity with Licking County’s leaders, community, and transportation infrastructure. Our team brings proven experience in authoring comprehensive plans and zoning updates in the region, advising the study team on land use considerations, and leveraging established local relationships. This combination allows us to provide a holistic perspective on how development in Licking County will shape and be shaped by its transportation networks.

Our firm assisted with two interactive stakeholder meetings with representatives from local municipalities, Licking County, and the State of Ohio. During these sessions, we facilitated discussions with stakeholder groups focused on specific corridor jurisdictions and presented visuals of existing conditions, intersections, corridor, and proposed improvements. These discussions and materials helped participants understand the project clearly and provide meaningful input. Neighborhood Strategies will use data collected and analyzed from these engagement sessions to contribute to the final recommendations at the conclusion of the project.
