Matthew brings more than a decade of urban planning, research, and public policy experience to his role as Senior Planner at Neighborhood Strategies. He is also a doctoral candidate in Urban Planning, Policy, and Design at McGill University in Montreal, where his research explores the role of finance in housing development. His work brings a research-driven perspective to questions about housing, transportation, and how development decisions shape the places we live. Matthew combines applied planning and urban design with mapping, visualization, and research to help communities understand complex ideas and see what different possibilities might look like. His experience includes community planning and engagement, housing, active transportation, spatial analysis, conceptual plans, and public presentations. Before joining Neighborhood Strategies, Matthew was a Senior Planner with the Neighborhood Design Center, where he worked on community planning projects throughout Columbus. His experience working across research and practice gives him a thoughtful, analytical approach to planning, policy, and design.
