Marshall Pifer

Intern
Finance, Project Management, & Economic Development

Marshall is a junior at Denison University studying Finance, with interests in community planning, economic development, project management, and real estate. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, he has developed an interest in how financial decision-making, planning, and investment can support strong communities and local economies. His experiences with commercial real estate firms and developers have given him exposure to the ways planning and investment decisions shape the built environment. He also studied sustainable development at Franklin University Switzerland, further exploring the relationship between economic growth and community development.

As an intern at Neighborhood Strategies, Marshall supports community and economic development projects while contributing to the firm’s internal finance, project management, and operations. He is excited to learn more about how thoughtful planning, sound financial management, and cross-sector partnerships can help create thriving places.
