Marc is a seasoned consultant and former executive who brings over 20 years of experience in urban place management and city planning to Neighborhood Strategies. His prior role as Executive Director of Capital Crossroads and Discovery Special Improvement Districts in Columbus informs his work with our firm, where he focuses on designing and implementing community activation programs. Marc excels at stakeholder engagement, partnership cultivation, and leveraging data analysis and GIS for informed decision-making. His executive leadership includes measurable achievements such as distributing $2 million in COVID small business grants and leading the “Downtown is Open” campaign to support local businesses during crisis. He also played a key role in launching the area's first bike share program and restoration of historic street clocks. Marc formerly served on the City of Columbus’ Transportation and Pedestrian Commission and the Victorian Village Architectural Review Board. With a Master’s in Public Administration and extensive board experience, he is a recognized expert in Business/Special Improvement Districts, Downtown Development Associations, Urban Renewal Areas, and other initiatives that foster vibrant, thriving communities.
