Marc is a Senior Planner at Neighborhood Strategies with more than 24 years of experience helping communities shape places that work well, are activated, and feel inviting. His work brings together planning, urban design, and program development, with a focus on how places function, feel, connect, and come to life. Much of Marc’s experience has centered on downtowns, community revitalization, special improvement districts, and placemaking. Before joining Neighborhood Strategies, he served as Executive Director of the Capital Crossroads and Discovery Special Improvement Districts in Columbus, where he worked closely with businesses, property owners, and community partners to strengthen the downtown experience. In that role he oversaw two concurrent business improvement districts with a combined budget of $4 million, served a constituency of more than 700 property owners, and led seven successive BID ballot renewals. Marc’s service on the City of Columbus Transportation and Pedestrian Commission and the Victorian Village Architectural Review Board also gave him a firsthand look at how decisions about streets, buildings, and public spaces affect the people who use them. He brings that perspective to his work today, helping communities turn good ideas into places people want to be.
