Perry Adopts Its First Comprehensive Plan
Neighborhood Strategies is proud to announce that Perry Township has officially adopted its first-ever Comprehensive Plan following a 2.5-year planning effort. Located in eastern Licking County within the Columbus metro region, Perry Township is a largely rural community known for its farmland, scenic landscapes, and close-knit neighborhoods.
As the area prepares for growth spurred by regional development and nearby business expansion, the Township partnered with Neighborhood Strategies to chart a thoughtful path forward. The new Comprehensive Plan equips community leaders with clear strategies to balance growth and preservation—protecting Perry’s agricultural heritage and rural character while planning for future housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
Through public surveys, stakeholder engagement, and extensive research, Neighborhood Strategies helped residents shape a shared vision for the future. The plan promotes sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and collaboration among local partners, ensuring Perry Township remains a resilient and vibrant rural community for generations to come.
