NS Guides Jefferson County Port Authority’s ACG Program
Neighborhood Strategies was thrilled to serve as the technical assistance project manager for Jefferson County Port Authority’s Appalachian Community Grant Program (ACGP) initiatives. Through this role, our team supported the Port Authority and local leaders in advancing a variety of community improvement projects designed to enhance quality of life and promote economic opportunity across the region.
As project manager, Neighborhood Strategies provided hands-on guidance through the Ohio Department of Development’s grant process including vetting projects for grant eligibility, coordinating with state agencies, facilitating communication between applicants and stakeholders, and ensuring regional alignment with program goals. Our firm contributed expertise and technical review toward project development that was incorporated into an ACGP grant application, securing $4.5 million for the Adena Building Renovation and Streetscape Project.
Our team managed a number of transformative projects for Jefferson County’s ACGP grant process. Project highlights include the Grand Theater and Adena Building Restoration, Historic Fort Steuben Community Room, Public Library of Steubenville, Friendship Park Regional Plan, Wells Township Sports Complex, and the Piney Fork “Rails to Trails” initiative.
